Tire exploded on me one day while I was on the way to school. Pretty fun/scary moment considering I was doing seventy miles an hour on the interstate. Turned out ok and I took some pictures of what the tire looked like afterward.

This failure is a "Run Low Flex". You lost air and continued to drive on the tire. You partially wore through the upper sidewall and you "fatigued" the body ply, generating heat untill the cord melted and/or lost all its' strength.
